遗憾的是，金牌高翻孙宁已经离场，无法一展翻译之长，把这句经典的话翻译成英语。那么，“中国人的败类”究竟如何翻译？
首先，我们来看一下这个词的中文意思。《现代汉语词典》解释说：败类，集体中的堕落或变节分子。
而外长口中的“败类”，主要是指“穿着日本军服，在抗战地标建筑和爱国主义教育基地拍照的‘精日’分子”。这些“精日”分子侮辱或诽谤民族英雄和烈士（insult ｏr slanderheroes ａnd martyrs），败坏英雄的名誉和荣耀（tarnish reputation ａnd honour）。
